DAY TRIP WHITE WATER RAFTING

Kiulu River Rafting (Class 1 - 2/ Beginner)

White Water Rafting activities at Sungai Kiulu in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Commercial rafting lenght 2 to 3 hours depending on the water levels and the group size with rapid range from Grade 1 to Grade 2. Located somewhere on the northwestern part of Sabah, Kiulu River graded as Class I – II river is safe enough for children and gentle enough for the elderly. Trip begins with a safety briefing session conducted by our professional raft guide that will demonstrates rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences. Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo. The journey will take about 1 ½ - 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where delicious barbecue lunch prepared just by the riverbank. While having your lunch, enthrall yourself with the pristine breathtaking surroundings or get a quick sun tan before heading back to your respective hotels.

What to bring : Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the river rafting - long or short sleeved T-shirt; tights; long pant; short pant and anything comfortable. Another 'Dry' set for return. Jeans are not welcome! River sandals or sport shoes with lace.  A pair of sock is recommended if using sport shoes, Personal medication and craving, Straps for spectacles or goggles for contact lenses, Towel or Sarong, Sun Screen Lotion and Basic Toiletries.

Includes :  Personal Insurance Coverage, All transfer using Coach / Van between KK town to rafting area (additional RM25.00 per pax, if pick up from hotels in Kinarut area), White Water Raft (5-6 person per raft), Rafting Gears (Paddle, PFD & Helment), Safety River Equipment's, BBQ Lunch, Service of Raft Captain ,Group First Aid Kit.

Safety : Safety briefing will be conducted on land before the participants enter the water and then further instruction is conducted in the water before we set of for the adventure trip. All our guides carry throw bags and wear PFDs which are designed for swift water rescue in order to carry two persons should the need arise. If we detect that a participant cannot safely accomplish the test rapid then we will request the participant not to continue the journey and refund in full to him/her.
