- It’s impossible not to catch the F1 buzz with all the exciting line-up of KL Grand Prix City (KLGP City) events leading up to the much-anticipated race happening this 2-4 April!
Ten spectacular events from 6 March to 11 April are slated to draw in the crowds to KL. Expect to see Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg roaring down the city streets, the 80’s crooner Lionel Ritchie serenading the ladies, a fabulous parade of vintage and classic cars, a chance to experience go-kart riding, great shopping deals, energetic concerts and glitzy fashion shows all in the heart of KL.

At the risk of sounding cliché, there is something for everyone at the KLGP City Festival. F1 fans will have a chance to glimpse the legendary Michael Schumacher and team mate Nico Rosberg at the PETRONAS Street Demo (Wed, 31 Mar from 5.00pm). Take note that certain roads will be closed from 2.00pm to 7.30pm then.

Road Closure Notice on 31 Mar (2.00pm – 7.30pm):
- Road leading to KLCC/KLCC parking via the Jalan Tun Razak tunnel (north)
- Jalan Binjai and Lorong Kuda
- All roads leading to KLCC parking via the Jalan Binjai and Jalan Tun Razak Tunnel
- Road leading to Jalan Binjai through Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Conlay and Jalan Tun Razak; Jalan Binjai leading to Persiaran KLCC until the traffic lights in front of PNB Darby Park
- Roads going in and out of the KLCC car park leading towards Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Binjai
Note: The public can still use alternative roads to Suria KLCC and the event’s location via Jalan Ampang, Persiaran KLCC from Jalan P. Ramlee and from Ampang- Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH)

Automobile enthusiasts can drool over vintage and classic cars ranging from Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, MG, Triumph, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Buick, Chevrolet and Packard (27 Mar, from 3pm).
Music lovers young and old are in for a treat with concerts and live performances by the unforgettable Lionel Ritchie (2 April) and local artists such as Aizat, Yuna, Bunkface, Estranged and others (27 Mar – 4 Apr).
As for the fashionistas in our midst, there’s much to look forward to with a host of swanky events such as STYLO Fashion Grand Prix 2010 (26 Mar – 3 Apr), Fashion Pit Stop at Pavilion KL (16 Mar – 4 Apr) and Gilded Garage Gala Night (31 Mar).
“KL is definitely a great haven for events such as this. We have established our name globally in the field of F1 racing and are now looking to broaden the scope of events and activities for locals and tourists alike,” said Datuk Seri Ahmad Fuad, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur during the KLGP City Festival launch yesterday.
