Tour Operators given ultimatum

Putrajaya: Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor gave an ultimatum to tour operators who are only promoting areas where they are getting the most commissions while neglecting many other places on their brochures and tour packages including Putrajaya, will have their licensed revoked, he told while attending the launch of the 2007 Putrajaya Treasure Hunt on July 29.

He said that there were cartels out there whom are over charging and cheating and they better seize doing so and improve because they are being watched closely by the Tourism Ministry together with the Licensing department.

He also hit out at agents for making many quick day trips at Putrajaya where tourists are charged from RM100 to RM150 per person.
