Puteri Waterfall
"It is Johor's highest mountain and offers visitors crystal clear rivers and breathtaking waterfalls amidst tranquility, in an unspoilt environment."

Standing at 1,267m, Gunung Ledang (Mount Ledang) is Johor's highest mountain and it can be accessed both from Johor (Sagil) and Melaka (Asahan). The journey to the top will take approximately five hours through the dense jungle.

Among the locals, Gunung Ledang (formerly Mt Ophir) is more well known for its mysterious reputation rather than as a natural attraction. At the mention of this mountain, stories of the legendary Puteri Gunung Ledang, entwined with tales of supernatural encounters easily come to mind.

But mysticism aside, the Ledang's natural beauty, with its challenging mountain trails, icy waterfalls and varieties of flora and fauna, is able to enchant both believers and skeptics alike. Its breathtaking waterfalls known as Puteri Waterfall; make for popular picnic spots, especially on weekends and public holidays, while the breathtaking view from the summit lures thrill seekers to scale this mountain. Various amenities, including rest shades, dressing rooms, camping sites, food stalls and car parks are provided here.

Getting There

Take the Muar-Segamat bus and step off at Sagil. Some buses stop at Gunung Ledang. Then you have to do another one km walk. If you drive your own car, head for Tangkak (in Muar district), or Segamat town (in Segamat district). The entry to the mountain is near Sagil along the Tangkak - Segamat trunk road.

"great....simply fabulous. i mean...really for those who love adventure. and mind you, for the fitter ones, u can complete the climb in 5 to 6 hours. but you can always take your own sweet time, exploring and enjoying nature and yet you can complete the climb in 1 and a half days. "
