The KL Bird Park is part of the Lake Garden, which also includes a Butterfly Park, a Deer Park and an Orchid Garden. The Bird Park, enclosed by a vast overhead net roof, is best visited in the early morning, when birds are most active in the walk-in aviary.
As one of the largest bird parks in the region, the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park houses over 5,000 birds from about 160 species from throughout South-East Asia. The main attractions are the rhinoceros hornbills, the 'talking' tiong, African macaws and flamingoes.
