One of only two international-class race circuits in Malaysia, the Johor Racing Circuit has hosted the World Motorcycle Grand Prix Championship as well as Formula 3 races."
This 3.86km circuit in Pasir Gudang was developed by the Johor State Economic Development Corporation and promoted by Sports Communications Sdn Bhd in accordance to the standards set by the Federation International Motorcycle (FIM) and Federation Internationale Automobile (FIA). The circuit is built on undulating terrain with 12 challenging corners for the racers to test their skills. Besides that, it also offers excellent viewing for spectators to join in the thrills.
The Johor Racing Circuit provides a world-class venue for international racing events. Among the events hosted yearly are the World Superbike, World Endurance, and the Johor Race Series for Cars and Bikes. In 1998, FIM gave an honour to this circuit to host one of the legs of the World Motorcycle Championship. It is one of only two legs being held in Asia.
