1. Pulau Duyung (Duyung Island)
Once a busy centre of sea trade, Kuala Terengganu has seen sea-faring vessels from the world over, trading silk, spice and ceramics. This gave rise to the craft of boat building and repairing in Terengganu, such as those in Pulau Duyong. |
2. Penarik Beach
Penarik beach - an endless stretch of white sandy beach, a place of serenity and solitude. |
3. Lata Tembakah (Tembakah Waterfall)
The sprawling 300 square hectares is blessed with a beautiful seven-tiered cascading waterfall with its highest point reaching 50 metres. |
4. Perhentian Island
Being far away from the mainland, Pulau Perhentian is rich in coral and marine life which includes stingrays, nudibranchs, black corals, moray eels, turtles and colourful fishes. |
5. Masjid Abidin (Abidin Mosque)
The mosque, also known as the White Mosque or the Big Mosque, was built by Sultan Zainal Abidin II between 1793 and 1808. |
