"To truly understand Templer Park Country Club, one must relish the test of the 18th, dubbed by many as the toughest hole in Malaysia."
A course set to international standards, Templer Park Country Club has played host to the prestigious Malaysian Open (sanctioned by the PGA European Tour and the PGA Asian Tour) three times (1995, 1996, & 2000) since it opened in 1990. Located a mere 15-minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur, in the midst of the Templer Park recreational area, the course was designed by Jumbo Ozaki. The former mining land covering 175 acres highlights 18 holes that tease the average golfer. The par-72 course measuring 6,227 yards is blanketed by forest on one side and features the famous limestone hill; Bukit Takun. Naturally, the undulating terrains require creative shots even as the sand traps and water hazards insist on accuracy.
The hazards are further intensified by numerous out-of-bounds areas that seem to call out to and attract shots. Large ponds are sprinkled around the course while streams add character to the already appealing experience.

The clubhouse has a wide array of facilities. The ardent golfer can head to the practice green, driving range or the pro-shop for another, albeit less taxing, round of golf. Meanwhile, those seeking relaxation will be pleased to find a multitude of choices including badminton courts, billiards room, bowling alley, card room, gymnasium, health centre, multi-purpose hall, swimming pool, squash and tennis court as well as video games.
