Taman Wawasan is located on the Northern section of Putrajaya's Core Island area in Precinct 2. The park is bordered by the Putrajaya Lake and Canal on one side, while along the Western side is the hard edged city fabric of the Boulevard. Taman Wawasan is conceptualised to be Putrajaya's principal Metropolitan Park.
The park boosts a vareity of facilities and attractions such as a Bird Aviary, three Theme Adventure Playgrounds (Parks, Water, Forest), a Park Promenade, Light Beacons, Gazebos, Jogging Tracks and Headland Areas.
