Sungai Klah Hot Spring
"
Radiating the rustic ambience of true village charm, the Sungai Klah Hot Springs offers visitors a chance to experience country life at its best while partaking in the natural healing powers of its hot spring waters."
The water, which is rich in minerals and sulphur, is said to have medicinal value, especially for skin ailments, stiff muscles and joints, and rheumatism.
This 6.5 hectare park is nestled in a serene and lush forest patch amidst lovely hills, clear cold mountain streams and rivers, swaying oil palms and even a durian orchard. Opened in December 2003, this specially designed free-flowing Hot Springs Swimming Pool and Therapeutic Park at the foothill of the Titiwangsa Range is a great getaway for an unforgettable and unique family outing.
Built at a cost of RM6 million, the facilities here are astounding and word has it that it is one of the best managed hot springs in the country. Besides the large and spacious therapeutic pools, there also are private family baths for those who prefer soaking in absolute privacy away from prying eyes - for a fee, of course. Weekends are normally crowded, so you would need to book your spot early to avoid disappointment.
Kids will have an exciting time splashing down the water slides, while the whole family can participate in the fun-filled egg boiling activity. After all that fun, indulge in some heavenly traditional Malay massage services offered at the park.
This place is one of the efforts done by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks in order to protect the endangered species. Conservation work at this centre focuses on captive breeding programme for the sambar deer and indigenous pheasant species.
Since ancient times, it is believed that water that flows from the hot springs have several therapeutic healing effects that can cure ailments, such as rheumatism, arthritis, insomnia, spinal injuries and fractures, and respiratory concerns.
