Taman Peranginan Sik (Sik Recreational Park) or popularly known as 'Rimba Taqwa', was the first of such parks established in Kedah. Set up in 1967, the park consists of a large variety of trees, waterfall and an attractive landscape and was developed in stages to maximise the beauty of its natural environment.
The Sik Recreational Park can accommodate up to 1,000 campers at any one time. Basic amenities such as restrooms and picnic areas are available for the visitors’ use. Lata Mengkuang, a beautiful waterfall can be found in this park.
Located nearby is a Youth Training Centre complete with a hostel and houses that have been built by KEDA. Visitors can rent these houses at reasonable rates or just camp at the park.
