Passing by Seri Menanti Police Station, you will arrive at a well-structured arch shaped like buffalo horns. Passing through the arch, after a minute's drive, you will reach the Royal Mausoleum at the left side of the road. It is located near Seri Menanti Royal Mosque.
The mausoleum is actually the first of many royal identities of Seri Menanti town that you will come across. These identities are befitting of the town's colourful history as the ruling centre traditional Kings and the stronghold of their regime during the splendour of old Negeri Sembilan.
Upon entering the cemetery, one can feel the peace and serenity of the place. Among those who have been laid to rest at this Royal Mausoleum are the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong is Malaysia, Tuanku Abdul Rahman and his queen, the former kings of Seri Menanti, as well as the descendents of the royal family. However, the first ruler of Negeri Sembilan, Raja Melewar's resting place is in Kampung Bukit Serajin, Astana Raja in the Rembau district. The mausoleum is well kept and planted with shady green trees. There are two mausoleums covered with dome-like structures which symbolise the regality of its occupants.
