The Palace of Justice in Putrajaya houses the Malaysian Court of Appeal and Federal Court, which used to be situated at the Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur in the early 2000s.
The complex has a 71,913 square meters floor area, and consists of five storeys of administration building and two storeys of annexed building. Such offices included are for: lawyers, prosecutors, the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court, the Registrar of Federal Court, the Registrar of High Court, Registrar, court records, courtrooms, Appeals court, Judges' Chambers, auditorium, ante room and banquet hall.
The Palace of Justice is influenced by the Islamic culture that built the walls of the Taj Mahal in India, the Moorish culture like the Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur, and the Western culture of the Palladian.
