The area is also home to elephants and tigers. Climbing the mountain can take three days and you may need to hire a guide.
There are several camping areas on the first day of your climb and one is located close to a waterfall, which can get dangerous during heavy rains.
The trek up will take you through several lesser peaks and unique mountain forests filled with fine dwarf bamboo.
