"
Elevated concrete walkways over the lake provide vantage viewpoint of the clear water, floating lotus and massive limestone hills at the background."
Located north of Kangar town, Tasik Melati is a small but picturesque lake located in partially marshy lowland. The lake got its name from the abundance of floating lotus on the pellucid water. Dabbed with more than 150 sandbar islands that are accessible only by sampan (small boat), this charming lake is an excellent place to unwind after a hard day's work.
This artificial lake is designed with picnickers in mind. Elevated concrete walkways over the lake provide vantage viewpoint of the clear water, floating lotus and massive limestone hills at the background. There are also a parameter walkway, refreshment kiosks, park benches and toilet facilities dotted along the lake's perimeter.
