"The sprawling 300 square hectares is blessed with a beautiful seven-tiered cascading waterfall with its highest point reaching 50 metres."
Lata Tembakah offers nature activities for a healthy mind and body. The waterfall is located within the 300 sq. ha Pelagat Forest Reserve in Besut, about 24km from Jerteh or 130km from Kuala Terengganu.
The area, which was first developed in 1987, is blessed with natural vegetation and a beautiful seven-tiered cascading waterfall with its highest point reaching 50m. It is a great place to have a picnic with family and friends over the weekend. The pools are suitable for swimming, and there are changing rooms and toilets for visitors' convenience.
For nature and adventure lovers, they can go for jungle trekking in the forest or just take a stroll along the footpaths and concrete steps. There are also camping facilities available, as well as chalets and resthouse, for those who want to stay overnight.
