This building was used as the premises of the Land Office during the colonial days until 1990 when major renovations were carried out to convert it into the Kelantan State Museum. Exhibits of special interest here include the paraphernalia associated with Kelantan's traditional art. This museum stores documents as well as artefacts relating to Kelantan's arts, crafts and musical traditions. You can browse through the displays of ceramic artefacts which bears evidence to the existence of trade relations between Kelantan and China. Artefacts from local archeological sites such as those found along Nenggiri River, can also be found here.
The museum houses the State Art Gallery and also serves as the main office for the Kelantan State Museum Corporation. Please contact Kelantan State Museum Tel: 609 - 7482266 for more information.
