"The Temple of The Heavenly Queen"
Founded before 1866, Hainan Temple is dedicated to the goddess Mar Chor, patron saint of seafarers. It is also called Thean Ho Keong, or 'Temple of the Heavenly Queen'. It serves as a common temple for different groups from Hainan island in China.
Goats are slaughtered during the deity's feast days. In 1995, this 100 year old temple was given a facelift by traditional craftsmen from China, adorning the structure with detailed stone carvings and stately dragon pillars.
