The Golok Bridge or popularly called "Jambatan Muhibah" (Harmonious Bridge) symbolically signifies the close relationship and warm interaction between the government of Malaysia and Thailand. It is the main entrance and exit points between the two countries.
This Bridge, which connects Rantau Panjang and Golok towns, was officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia at that time Tun Haji Abdul Razak Bin Datuk Hussein on May 21, 1973.
A second bridge linking Malaysia and Thailand across the Golok River, is currently under construction and will connect Bukit Bunga Jeli in Kelantan with Bukit Tal in Weng, Narathiwat in Thailand. This bridge is expected to be completed in 2005.
