As you walk through this delightful film gallery, you will encounter many different experiences via the audio visual information presentation about the Malaysian film industry. Discover how local films evolve from the 1930's till this present day.
Officially launched on 25 March 2007 by YB Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Malaysia, the gallery was built as a tribute to everything that has been achieved since the heydays of Studio Jalan Ampas, Studio Jalan Katong and Studio Merdeka.
It also serves as a research for the film industry and features a wealth of historical information, filming equipment and a plethora of film activists and actors.
Browse through the exhibits of old film magazines, movie making equipment, and footages showcasing the development of the film industry in Malaysia. There is a resource room and a mini theatre highlighting classic Malay films.
Opening hours: Tue to Sun from 9 am till 5 pm. Entrance is free.
