During the Dutch rule, it was known as 'Utrecht Fort', taking the name of the Ducth that defeated Raja Haji at Teluk Ketapang. Located north of the Selangor Hill, it is direstly beside the Seri Tanjung Secondary School.
It is the first Defence Fort for the Ducth. Situated on the grounds of the fort is a big tree which is said to have been a lookout tower for enemies..
