Agnes Keith and her husband, Harry, who was Conservator of Forest and Curator of North Borneo Museum during the time of the British, lived here from 1930 to 1952.

The Bavanggazo Rungus Longhouse is located at the Bavanggazo Village, which is 40km to the south of Kudat town.  Kudat is a 3-hour drive away from Kota Kinabalu.

This conservation area is one of the last remaining primary lowland rainforests in Asia, and preserves many plant and animal species found only in Borneo.

The Handicraft Centre, or Pasar Philippine is definitely a must-visit when one is in Sabah; in fact, should one miss it, she (or he) better had a pretty great excuse that could rival a big catastrophe.

Between Sipadan and Mabul Island lies a sandbar that sits on the reef known as the Ligitan Reefs. The reef, a very extensive stretch bordering the deep and vast Celebes Sea.

By road, Kudat is a long and slightly bumpy 3-hour ride from Kota Kinabalu.  But it is worth it.  The enthralling scenery along the journey is a fitting prelude to the lovely time visitors can expect at the Misompuru Homestay.
