"Twenty-five kilometres of white, sandy beach and lush tropical greenery highlight the beach of Desaru - the most popular beach in Johor."

Twenty-five kilometres of white, sandy beach and lush tropical greenery makes up Desaru - the most popular beach in Johor.  Located 98km north east of Johor Bahru, Desaru, or also known as the 'Village of Casuarinas', was developed by the South Johor Development Authority (KEJORA) to boost tourism industry in Johor.

Desaru is a great destination for family vacation as it offers a variety of activities for the whole family including swimming, fishing, snorkelling, canoeing, horse riding, jungle trekking, go-carting, golfing and windsurfing. Regarded as Johor's 'gold mine', Desaru is equipped with a wide range of facilities and several up-market resorts, each with its own individual character.  An 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. makes Desaru a well-known destination among golfers.

Apart from first-class hotels and resorts, other accommodations available in Desaru include chalets, dormitories and camping facilities for those looking for a back-to-nature experience. Facilities at the beachfront include picnic grounds, restaurants, food outlets and souvenir shops.

"The beach is long and the sand is white and very soft. It's very peaceful just to walk along the beach. Rent a chalet or dormitory and sleep to the sound of the waves splashing. Very relaxing..."   by jazila

"have a beutiful place 2 stay&the people at desaru beach is very kind person"   by man

"Getting there by car is quite far due to the fact that you have to travel to Kota Tinggi first before travelling down south to Desaru. Hopefully the future direct highway from JB will solve this. The resorts in Desaru are rather run down. Only one is the exception and it is very expensive. The place serves as a launch point to explore Batu Layar Beach and Teluk Punggai Beach if you drive."

"lovely beach!i know that stall yang jual mee goreng yang sangat sedap.."   by nurul

"   by ahmad

"The beach is so beautiful."   by Koh Siong Song

Menjadi tumpuan penduduk tempatan mahupun di luar negara."   by Fitri Alia

"Wide and clean sandy beach, with lots of activities to do. For examples educational Ostrich farm and tropical fruits farm, fire flies night-out, golfing, cheap sea food at Sungai Rengit which is abt 20 min drive. The Pulai Desaru Beach Hotel is a good choice, try also Golden Beach Resot."
