GETTING THERE
The easiest way to get to the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is via the KL Monorail and PUTRA LRT. The nearest PUTRA LRT station to Kuala Lumpur Tower is the Dang Wangi station. You could also take the KL Monorail and disembark at the Bukit Nenas station.
Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve
" Smack in the concrete jungle of Kuala Lumpur is a primary rainforest with a surprisingly rich flora."

Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is a 11ha inner-city slice of tropical rainforest at the base of one of Kuala Lumpur's most prominent landmarks, the 421m-high Kuala Lumpur Tower.

The forest, gazetted as a Forest Reserve in 1906, helps to cleanse the air of its surrounding environment by acting as a purifier for dust and toxic pollutants. It was also gazetted as a Wildlife Reserve and Bird Sanctuary in 1934 and in 1950, a pristine section of about five hectares was gazetted as a Virgin Jungle Reserve.

The rich variety of flora that flourishes within the forest includes rare herbs, creepers, ferns, climbers and giant bamboo grasses.

The Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. Jalan Ampang, Jalan Gereja and Jalan Raja Chulan roads allow access to the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. It is open from 9am to 5pm every day. The daily guided tour schedules are 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:30pm.

"One thing that attracts me about this place is it is located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of KL city centre. So I guess we still have some greens in the city. look out for the old Jelutong tree while you're here."

"The one and only Forest reserve in the midst of KL that is still well maintained."

"Tatkala saya menaiki bas untuk ke Lot 10, pasti saya akan melalui kawasan hutan simpan Bukit Nanas. Pada pendapat saya, usaha DBKL mewartakan kawasan ini adalah usaha yang baik."
