Batu 16 Dusun Tua Hot Springs
" Located just behind a mosque along the main road, the well-managed hot springs facility is divided into male and female sections."

Located just behind a mosque along the main road, the well-managed hot springs facility is divided into male and female sections.
You can be assured of the utmost cleanliness and hygiene as no one is allowed to dip themselves into the spacious pool. Each patron will scoop the hot water into one of the many plastic pails and containers and use that water to bathe themselves or soak their feet into. The water is hot enough to boil eggs.
The place is managed by Mr. Hamdan Alias who inherited it from his grandfather.  He explains that the moss produced by the sulphuric hot springs water is very beneficial for the skin as it will make the skin smooth and healthy.
Uncle Min Chai, 63 years old, comes to this place daily. Formerly suffering from a long-term skin disease, he is now completely cured since he started the natural hot springs water therapy. His normal regime includes dipping his two feet into the plastic pail and wiping his whole body with a towel soaked into the water.
“I recommended this place to my friend who suffers from serious skin boils and rashes,” he said. His friend had spent thousands of ringgit visiting skin specialists and buying top-of-the-range products to cure his skin ailments but to no avail.
“At my encouragement, he started visiting the Batu 16 Dusun Tua Hot Springs and after just a month, his skin has healed completely. Imagine all that money he could have saved if he came here first!” Uncle Min Chai said with a chuckle.
According to Mr. Hamdan, the place is a favourite amongst many Korean ladies and Saudi Arabians. Busiest times are early in the morning at 7.30am and from 2 to 3pm until closing time. Sundays are the busiest days of the week.
Entrance fee is by donation and the proceeds go into the maintenance and upkeep of the clean and pristine place. No smoking is allowed in the vicinity. Opening hours are from 7.30am to 7.30pm.
