Be patient and witness the "poetic nature in motion". You'll enjoy the antics of the grumpy-looking ostriches and the sight of the light-footed deer at this amazing Animal Farm. Here, you will not only have the chance to get really close to these wild animals but you may also go for a ride on an ostrich's back.
Upon entering this 75ha park, you will be met with a captivating picture of the sambar, timorensis and axis-axis deer species on your left and right. They are allowed to roam freely in large opening. The landscape of the park is well-kept and still tries to retain its natural terrain. Thus, you will notice among the clearings tall blades of grass rustling in the wind, giving a feel of the natural habitats of the animals, though surrounded by high-wired fences.
On the left hand side, behind the sambar deer, is a large dome-like cage for wild birds and fowls. Enjoy the antics of the axis-axis deer once disturbed. They will initially take a peek at the culprit and eventually leap arround among themselves in the midst of the tall grass. In contrast, their neighbours, the fierce looking lembu bali and selembu (hybrid of wild buffalo and cow), grazing lazily on the grass will take no notice of your persence and continue munching their meal leisurely. Beside them are the ostriches, the fastest land bird. Breeded commercially, ostrich rides are offered for the more adventurous.
The Animal Farm is developed on a reserved grassland in Jalan Pantai, about 10km away from Seremban town. Its concept is based on both the preservation and commercialisation of exotic animals, which can also be at the advantage of the local tourism industry.
