From Klang, air-cond buses run to Kuala Selangor every 20 minutes for only RM2 while from Kuala Lumpur's Puduraya bus station, the bus run roughly hourly and it cost you RM4.90). Discover the history of the legendary hill of Melawati. Located atop the hill, the Altingsburg Lighthouse is a Dutch historical remain. The landmark is worth a day trip since it is situated near several historical monuments such as Meriam Selangor (Selangor Cannon); it is also a nesting site for white-bellied sea-eagles.
It was from this vantage spot that the Dutch surveyed the surrounding countryside before capturing it in 1784. In the vicinity is a royal mausoleum where three past sultans of Selangor are buried.
