Travelling During Ramadhan? Some Quick Ideas

The fasting month puts a lot of challenges on Muslims. Having to go  without food and drink for a good part of the day means they don’t have much energy to expend, more so for travel.

But that doesn’t mean they should put their travel plans on hold. They could travel especially if time for a holiday becomes available.   As a matter of fact, Ramadhan is actually one of the most convenient times to travel, because as a Muslim, you don’t have to make stops for meals during the journey.

However, bear in mind that there are other challenges to contend with apart from hunger and thirst. Sleepiness and lethargy are bound to set in. So, if you’re driving, make frequent stops to give yourself a breather when your body demands it.

Travel Tips
A good general tip would be to set out after you’ve taken your Sahur meal when you’ll be refreshed. Also it would be a good idea not to go on a long trip from home.

If you don’t feel like going it alone, you could check out these travel packages specially put together for those interested in travelling during the month of Ramadhan.

Take your time to check them out.

City Shopping Tour
How does observing Ramadhan with a stay at the exclusive 2-bedroom Executive Suite at Best Western Premier Dua Sentral in Kuala Lumpur sound? The room, which comes with the Sahur menu, a free WiFi connection and parking space for guests, suits those who wish to be in the heart of a vibrant  city  visiting nearby attractions and happening spots. There’s a complimentary shuttle bus that will take guests to major attractions  like KL Sentral, Mid Valley Megamall and KLCC for some great Hari Raya shopping ideas!

Uncover Historical Gems
This Ramadhan travel package idea requires you to travel a bit from Kuala Lumpur to the historical World Heritage City of Melaka to stay at the prestigious Permaisuri MITC Hotel Ayer Keroh. For just RM145, you get to spend 2 days and 1 night in a Superior Triple Room. You’ll have plenty of time to go around exploring Melaka, uncovering its historical gems. This is certainly   a deal not to overlook.

By the Sea
If you’re a sea lover, and the fasting month doesn’t affect your fondness towards beach activities like kayaking and jet-skiing, then the
2D/1N stay in Permaisuri Resort Port Dickson will definitely be your cup of tea. Get lullabied by the sea breeze, and feast your eyes on the wide expanse of  sea that greets you upon waking up. It would be no doubt be a Ramadhan to remember.

These Ramadhan travel package ideas are to jump start your plans for travelling during the fasting month.  SOTA.travel is now featuring the Ramadhan Specials and Muslim Friendly Travel Packages  for discerning holidaymakers. Take a look at the offerings to help you decide on  your Ramadhan travel destination!
