The fasting month puts a lot of challenges on Muslims. Having to go without food and drink for a good part of the day means they don’t have much energy to expend, more so for travel.
But that doesn’t mean they should put their travel plans on hold. They could travel especially if time for a holiday becomes available. As a matter of fact, Ramadhan is actually one of the most convenient times to travel, because as a Muslim, you don’t have to make stops for meals during the journey.
However, bear in mind that there are other challenges to contend with apart from hunger and thirst. Sleepiness and lethargy are bound to set in. So, if you’re driving, make frequent stops to give yourself a breather when your body demands it.
Travel Tips A good general tip would be to set out after you’ve taken your Sahur meal when you’ll be refreshed. Also it would be a good idea not to go on a long trip from home.
If you don’t feel like going it alone, you could check out these travel packages specially put together for those interested in travelling during the month of Ramadhan.
